SUMMER CAMP

We are pleased to announce our collaboration with Life Project Education who will be enriching our Kid’s Summer Camp Program, providing opportunities for a Children’s World Cultural Exchange.

Life Project Education is a grassroots holistic education center nestled here in our intimate nature-rich community of Ojochal, Costa Rica.

Their unique programs offer opportunities for children, families, and teachers to explore the interconnected layers of their humanity that are traditionally undermined in modern systems. In addition to nurturing critical intellect, Life Project visitors are equally exposed to experiences that ignite emotional, social, artistic, moral, psychological, physical, aesthetic, creative, and intuitive layers of development.

During their time at Life Project, children will be outdoors, surrounded by the pristine energy of the rain forest, in the “happiest country on the planet.” (happy planet index) Pura Vida! Your kids will get to experience Permaculture practices with experienced teachers on the School Farm. They will get to play jungle games as they connect with the children who have moved here from all over the world. Learning to be an Earth Guardian, your children will get the opportunity to take place in an Earth Conservation Project Guided by one of our Local Community Partners. They will also have the opportunity to spend an evening at an ecstatic dance where they can connect with their new friends.

Supported by the most cutting-edge research in the realms of quantum physics and Holistic Learning Theory, Life Project will facilitate this shared time together through an energetic lens, treating each child as sovereign, non-standard Beings.

Our mentors, educators, seasonal specialists, and team members are diverse with both local and international backgrounds and countries. They comprise full-time staff as well as volunteers. All have relevant qualifications and thorough experience in their area of expertise and most importantly have a love and passion for working with children.

Our mission is to empower families, educators, and children to connect with our deeper humanity through holistic, transformational education programs that resonate with both intellect and the intuitive spirit.

Our Learning Space

Inspired by Reggio Emilia and Waldorf-Steiner's instructional environments, our campus nurtures peace, comfort, and exploration. We honor the incredible importance that sound, physical space, and geography have on our energy. Our space includes child-inspired centers that activate curiosity and movement and promote tranquility and connection.

Our recreation center is located on a 2-acre site in the area of Bahia Ballena, Costa Rica. Our main building features 6 beautifully decorated and thoughtful homerooms, a Spanish room, a science room, a music room, an art workshop, a community kitchen, and a large 'Shala' space for practicing mindfulness, movement, or yoga. Set in amongst the lush tropical grounds of the campus, is a swimming pool, woodwork shop, basketball/soccer pitch, farm, large greenhouse, outside fire circle, and jungle gym. 

Every morning children and parents enjoy gratitude circles to set an intention for the day before children continue to embark on their holistic learning journeys which are customized to their needs through our democratic learning opportunities.  Daily, children experience mindfulness workshops in our sacred Shala and enjoy healthy vegetarian lunches in the shade of our expansive rancho-style front terrace.
